DIY Ottoman.

For Christmas I asked Santa for a big square ottoman (similar shape to the gray one in the middle or the zebra print one). I must not have been such a good girl last year because Santa gave me a gift certificate to Home Depot with a note attached that read, "Make It Yourself!" Sheesh what a cheepskate.

In the next couple weeks I plan to turn this contruction zone in to something beautiful. As you can see we have a coffee table now that serves as a nice dance platform for my boys and place to draw black permanent marker all over when mom is not looking. However, the rectangle shape is just rubbing my feng shui the wrong way. I can't bear to part with our current one (it was my homework table when I was young) and if all goes well I might experiment with turning in to something fab for the den...we'll see.

I've also been spending a ridiculous amount of time envisioning a bold pattern with a pop of color to cover the new ottoman but in the end I will probably do something simple, washable, fresh and...white. Can't go wrong with white...I say!

My son, the accesorizer.

I realize I've already posted about my sons knack for putting an outfit together but I still can't get over just how original this little habit of his is and I have to share some more pics. For the past week this is what I have walked in on...Mr. "T" sleeping and the next day's outfit laid out on the floor next to him. Night one...cargo pants, blue polo, and dad's hat.
Night two...layered t-shirt, cargo pants and soccer ball at the foot.

Night 3...OOOhhh. Two outfit choices: Long shirt T and athletic shorts. Notice the accesories at each arm. Soccer trophy, Spiderman wallet, Spiderman book, Spiderman backpack. The kid can accesorize!
P.S. I called Ralph Lauren today and let him know his new intern would be starting this summer.

Outloud, say "Peggy Babcock" 5 times.

I haven't laughed so hard with my husband in a long time.

Funny?
