Winter harvest.

Our 3 ft. citrus tree yielded about 20 oranges this year.

They are so pretty I can hardly bring myself to eat them.

I wish they stayed fresh all year to adorn my table.

Who, who.

Yesterday I posted about this very cool owl lamp from West Elm (price $99.00) here.

I posed the idea of taking this owl I found at Goodwill for $3.99...



...which I sprayed white then wondered if I could make it in to a lamp.

One of my readers, Ashley, emailed me this fantastic Etsy find (price $45.00). Couldn't believe it...same exact owl as mine. Just needs a coat of white paint.

West Elm Love.

Monday morning and back to the grind. My hubby was home for the past two weeks depleting his "use it or loose it" vacation time and now he's back to work. I had a honey-do list a mile long and the only things we crossed off were cleaning the ceiling fans and cleaning under the washer and dryer. He also attempted a third try at refinishing our dining table after some polyurethane blips and has about called it quits. I'm going to have to come up with some "special favors" to keep him at it.

On a different note, my new West Elm catalogue arrived in the mail and I was pleasantly surprised. Here are few things on my wish list:

Wondering if I can turn my DIY owl in to a lamp similar to West Elm's version?

I'm thinking a couple of these lamp/sconces would be perfect above my boys headboards.

I'm a sucker for lacquered anything. These yellow ones would go perfect in my den.

Loving these striped hand towels. Speaking of stripes...

Did someone take my entryway and turn it in to a duvet?
