It's my birthday!

Besides world peace, no more world hunger and bringing back the Oprah show...
here's some less important things on my birthday list this year.

I've always wanted a more stylish way to address my letters. I'm loving the Etsy Store FORYOO which makes the most beutiful personalized rubber stamps

No brainer...who wouldn't want an Apple Ipad?

How cool are these bus scroll pillows from Buppo and Wren?

Favorite home decor magazine hands down. Wish is wasn't so expensive for U.S. residents. Let me know if you need my mailing address. You can order it here.

These are my newest obsession. I don't currently have a collection of anything but I just decided that I should and I'm starting with cake stands. Found this one on Ebay.

I have admired this Omni, Z Gallerie Mirror for ages. I have the perfect place for it in my new home.

I can't tell you how long I've wanted a sunken trampoline in my backyard. Heck no, I won't be jumping on it. But think of all hours of quiet time I'd have in my house if this was in my backyard for my boys!

Monograming is my other current obsession. How beautiful are these monogramed pillows from Luxury Monograms?

Drool, Swoon, Heart, whatever! I want this kitchen in my new home. Any countertop dealer out there want to Sponsor some Calcutta marble counters in my new home in exchange for advertising on my blog? I will blog the heck out of them!

I scream, you scream...

I want to own an ice cream truck.

This is so not the ice cream man I grew up remembering. In my day the ice cream man drove a converted mail truck with a flat tire and had a couple of missing teeth.

This could very well be the perfect job.
Everyone always elated to see you,
cruisin' the streets, wind in your hair, sweet treats to deliver in a sweet ride.
Bee-boppin' tunes blastin' (okay that might be annoying after 3 minutes).

How adorable is that ice cream kid in his white uniform (not to mention my two kiddos)?

3rd time's a charm thanks to Natty by Design.

Remember this Craigslist table? It's had quite a bit of face time on my blog. To make a long story short, my husband and I spent countless hours on it trying to work our limited, DIY magic.

Here is what it looked like after we had a go at it. It just had a rough, unfinished look to it. It ended up in much better condition than the before pictures but really not acceptable either.

After two failed attempts, Natalie from Natty By Design stepped in. She is also our newest sponsor and as a part of her sponsorship she proposed letting her work on it to see what she could do.

In a nutshell she sanded it, experimented with several different stains, then applied polyurethane. At my request she also lightened it up quite a bit. I cringe to think of all the hand sanding she did, especially on those legs. After she delivered it my husband and I stood there in awe, jaws on the floor, shocked at what a magnificent job she did. It looks like it came right off the Pottery Barn show room floor. And I don't lie! (Well sometimes I do but I'm not now)!

The end result is a rich finished look. A huge difference in comparison to the end result we produced.

Sometimes you just have to know when you're in over your head and call a professional to begin with. You want a job done right, Natalie is your gal. I call her the "Furniture Whisperer". Paint or stain she does it all. Thank you Natalie for all your hard work, dealing with my wishy-washy ideas, and being such a professional. We love our table!
