Update on Cali.

Our family has been absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes and prayers for Cali
 Here is an update:

Cali going in to cardiac arrest was caused by Amniotic Fluid Embolism, a very rare and dangerous condition. Unfortunately doctors had to take the baby in order to save Cali's life. Shortly after the surgery Cali began to hemorrhage badly and more emergency surgery had to be performed.

The very good news is that she is stable and awake today. Doctors are positive and we can't help but feel that many, MANY prayers have been answered. She still has a physical, mental and emotional road to recovery ahead of her but she is here and that is most important.

We can't thank you enough for all your support.
We know that your prayers had a huge hand in her recovery.

Absolutely wonderful news. What a sweet spirit she radiates. They are a special couple and have touched so many lives. I will definitely keep them and the whole family in my thoughts and prayers as I am sure there will be many hard days ahead. I am so glad that she is still here to bless the lives of her sweet husband and daughter as well as many others.

A very close friend of mine suffered an amniotic embolism while delivering her triplets via c-section. She too went into cardiac arrest 2 or 3 times and was hemorrhaging very badly. I'm happy to tell you that today, while her recovery was tough and she spent a lot of time in ICU, she is alive and very healthy. I pray the same for Cali and have full faith that while, like you said, her recovery on so many levels will be tough, she will be okay and you'll enjoy her beautiful smile again! Continued prayers for her and your family.

I couldn't think of anything but her and her family for a couple of days...and praying. So glad to hear she is hanging on for dear life but devastated to hear the baby had to go be with big brothere Mac. She has a wonderful family to support her, obviously, but I hope she can find a great therapist to deal with the crushing emotions she will have to try and handle. God Bless!
