German Pancakes.

Every time we visit Vegas, Grandpa Jay makes us some German Pancakes.
They are easy to make, fun to eat and delicious in the belly.
One batch makes quite a bit so they would be ideal if you had guests to feed.
They would even be great for Thanksgiving or Christmas morning.

You will need:
-6 eggs
- 1cup milk
-1 cup flour
-1 teaspoon of vanilla
-1/2 stick butter

First, preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Put a half a stick of butter in a 9 X 13 dish (mine is on loan so I'm using a cake pan and only using 1/2 the batter.)  Place in the oven to warm the dish and melt the butter while you mix your batter.

In a blender whip the eggs, add the milk, next the vanilla and flour.  Blend well on high for about 1-2 minutes.

Once the butter is melted, remove from oven and coat the sides of the pan with the melted butter.  Add the batter directly in the pan and bake for about 18 minutes or until golden brown at 425.
Your pancake will grow and make a crazy fun shape while baking.
Top with fruit, powdered sugar, cinnamon, syrup, whip cream...anything goes.

Delicious.
Speaking of German food...I blogged about my all time favorite German deli at I heart Salt Lake today.
