My 2 yr. old has earned the nickname, Hoodini. His newest trick: escaping out of the house to ride his Spiderman scooter any chance he gets (or creates). He's figured out that by dragging the step stool from the bathroom he can reach the "child proof" lock. I'm on to him. I hid the stool last night.
This afternoon I came around the corner and caught him trying to lean the potty seat against the door to stand on it to assist his getaway. I can just imagine the conversation going on in his head. "Hmmm? No stool. Potty seat might work." I hid around the corner and watched his evolving problem solving skills in action as he struggled to make the akward "step" work. "STINK...that big hole in the middle is not helping!" I so wanted to grab the camera but any realization of an audience would have ruined the moment.

Problem solvers grow up to become successful adults. Some day he'll be buying you a mansion when he cures cancer or invents a machine that will clean your house.

Oh the infamous stool...my 3 year old has been caught using it to turn on his bedroom light and play when he's supposed to be sleeping! :) Took stool away and he found a sand pail!

Oh that is hilarious! Your two year old and my two year old must exchange notes... busy, busy boys!! How did we both end up with two of them?! (and why don't we live closer?)
