Oh my gosh, I am.... I cant believe that was her first. I have 2 chairs that I bought from Craigslist a couple of months ago that are waiting to be reupholstered. I just might give it a shot if I could just decide on the fabric.

Now that is talent. I've only reupholstered one chair in my life and there was lots of cursing involved.

Thanks for all of the kind words! Although this was my first true upholstery project, I've been sewing for years. When deciding to tackle this project, I did buy a "how-to" book but got frustrated with lots of the lingo. The most helpful thing was the deconstruction process. From that point forward, I really just educated myself throughout the project.
As you can see from the slideshow of pictures, I used my photo journal to help me along the way more than the book itself. You should all give it a....it's not as hard as it may seem. Each individual piece is simple, the process is very logical and upholstery tacks are removable if a section needs to redone ~ trust me, it took me three or four tries to get those little curved arms right.
Take it slow and it will come together. Good luck & GO FOR IT!
