Milestones.

This little man has been begging to have his training wheels taken off for months now.
Daddy promised that when he turned 3 he would honor his wish.

The day finally came.

A whole 23 seconds solo on his first try!

He's got himself a new hobby.

Wow! At 3?! That's awesome.. our 4.5 year old still has training wheels.. but we don't ride too often :(

Learning how to ride a bicycle is so exciting! I remember the thrill of a parent letting go of the handlebars - and now that I'm a mom I can see that there's probably a letting go "thrill" on the parent side as well!

Your best shot is to keep him on a small bike so his feet can always touch the ground, he will be riding confidently, sans training wheels in no time. 3 is awesome!

Woot! How very exciting... We have the same small bike and have taken the training wheels AND the pedals off so he's learning to balance...pretty soon we'll put the pedals back on and see how he does. Learning how to ride a bike...that's good stuff.

NAISH, you are awesome and brave. Now you can show Gramma how to fall! I see your ribs are safe and intact! Mine are finally healing. I'll bring my bike back so you can show me how to ride!
