My love for Craigslist...

One of my daily tasks consists of spending 5 minutes searching Craigslist. I have four consistant searches that I do. "Vintage, Antique, French and Midcentury."
Most of the time I don't find anything too exciting.
Sometimes I do but the price isn't right.
And sometimes the clouds part and I find a few little gems.
Here are a few of my latest finds.

I bought these two cubes off this young who couple who live in the cutest little downtown bungalow and have loads of style. They are those types of people who find garbage sitting on the side of the road which turn out to be vintage pieces worth hundreds. Yes, you know their kind. Four leaf clovers growing outta their heads.

They are currently sitting at the foot of my bed where we as a family sit and play my vintage, original Nintendo. They would also make a good coffee or end tables. I've been looking for couple of white marble pieces (like below) for them but I'm not having much luck.

This past week I spotted this great little side table again on CL. Unknowlingly, same darn cute couple found it and were selling it (4 leaf clovers I tell you). (Dom and Chel, can I come hang with you?)

I'm currently stalking these tulip pedestal vintage bases:

I only want one base but the $150.00 asking price seems too high.
On the other hand when the real thing is upwards of $1000.+ maybe this is a good deal?

Still deliberating.

FIVE minutes?
Are you kidding!
I wish I could get by on 5 minutes.
Because of where I live I have 3 states of Craigslist I can check.

I believe my grandmother, the queen of thrift, antique and junk stores, smiles down on me as I surf C'list.

I'm jealous!
Seriously, the C'list where I live is horrible. Like really, really sucky!

I am addicted to Craig's List. It is awesome. I guess it helps to live in a cool city. Austin's CL is full of cool stuff, too. Great finds!

love your finds! Can you remove the top of the two tables and replace them with an oversized marble tile or custom fit marble counter top? just a thought...

Oh man, I love that first pair of tables! I wish Craigslist in HI was any good. Alot of really yucky island furniture. Blech.

Wow those are awesome finds! It's funny to think that the original Nintendos are vintage now, I grew up playing on one!

I love those side tables! They are exactly what I am looking for in an end table - great find Melissa!

The Saarinen Tulip table and chairs are great loves of mine... one day I will own a set.. or at least one item. I am optimistic :)

If your side tables are 18 inches, maybe you could use a large marble tile for the top? Usually, they're not too expensive.

I wish CL was better in my town...but it sucks pretty bad...! :((

I've stalked those Saarinen table bases too, but the tops aren't to my taste. Whish the seller would split it up. Good luck!

Michelle! So funny...we don't have four leaf clovers! We are just OBSESSED! I think to get anywhere in life you have to have a little obsession...
Dominique and I are still kicking ourselves for letting go of that chrome-bottom'd side table. So SWEET!

Michelle ~ Have you heard of the craigslist "easy button"? In my opinion....craigslist will NEVER be the same. No more opening each listing to see the photo....http://craigseasy.com/
amazing ! ! !

Wow, you are able to find amazing things on CL! Congrats :) I have gone there myself a couple of times, with no such luck. So funny that you kept finding the tables from the same couple. Thanks for sharing the different styles of tables, love them all. Good luck with your future hunts!

I left a tulip table and chairs literally out on the curb. Mom's house was FULL of 60s and 70's stuff and I tried to get "estate sale" people to buy everything. No luck. Everything went out on the curb. I wish I would have sold everything on Craigslist (or ebay.) But, ultimately, I'm glad it all went to good homes.

Oh my goodness! This looks wonderful! How many men are in this "house full of men"??? I love all the flooring and carpet too. So beautiful. Can't wait to do this with my house.
