Product Packaging.

My friend's photography business, Wondertime Photography, is really taking off...and why wouldn't it? Her work is pure art! Her vision is to create a botique photography studio where every detail has been carefully attended to. She asked me to come up with some "prototype packaging" for her photos and here's what I came up with.
Check her out here. She also has a blog here.

Boys Room Makeover

Not much has been happening on the decorating homefront but I'm really getting ancy to start a new home project. The boys room is up next (yep, we've decided they are gonna share a room). They want Spider Man or Star Wars...me, not so much. I figure we've both have to like it. Since Matani's name means "wind" and Nash was named after pro windsurfer, Robby Naish...a nautical theme would fitting.

I saw these zinc letters at Anthropologie that I love. This picture does them no justice. They are big...25 inches high big. I thought I could put an "M" above one bed and an "N" above the other.

I'm also contemplating stripes (YES MORE STRIPES). This time same color stripe but contrasting flat and glossy paint. (Not sure where I pulled this picture from). I'm also looking for some nautical bedding. I saw some at Pottery Barn kids but it was too busy and not quite the right color palate.

It would be fun to find someone who does custom bedding (for really affordable...probably doesn't exist). Any tips?

Is this normal? (Don't answer that).

10:00pm.
All are fast asleep.
Wait a minute...5 OUTFIT CHOICES FOR TOMORROW?
REALLY?
What goes through my 4-year old boy's head?

San Diego.

We spent our spring break in San Diego. Walking on the beach was good for our souls.

Party time.

These pictures were taken from our pal, Kai's birthday party a while back. My girlfriend Michelle Rasmussen was trying out her new "Silly Goose Photo Booth." Matani had lots of fun...Nash...not so sure. Thanks Michelle!

Estate Sale.

Saturday morning at 7:16am I was 34th in line for my very first estate sale. Very exciting. As I waited in line I found myself engaged in a very interesting conversation with three 75+ year-old ladies who were discussing the bathroom's lovely toilet seat. They went on and on about this commode so I decided I had to sneak in to check it out. I told the estate manager I needed to use the bathroom (slight fib) and she escorted me to powder room. Yep, there it was, a one of a kind cream colored, pearlized toilet seat. I returned to my place in line and sqwaked with my new friends over the very unique fixture.

When the clock struck 8am we rushed in, elbows flailing, and grabbed what we could. Here's what I picked up. I know it's a strong departure from my so called "style" but I got big plans for these babies!
