How did this happen?
I will admit, this scene looked pretty ridiculous.
See what we found then I ask, "can you blame me?"
My mom scored these identical tables for $7.00 each from here.
$5.00 dollar velvet chair. My camera hit a glitch so I couldn't photograph the back but it has lovely nailhead deatailing all over. Found here...again.

I'm busy...
(taking in to account everything goes according to plan, which usually never happens).
Three sponsors have stepped up to make this makeover possible.
Big thanks to Dutch Boy Paints, Cutting Edge Stencils and Ghost Nest Hardware.
I hope not to dissapoint.

Unlikely night stand.
Problem is, I got a new camera for my birthday (Canon Rebel) and apparently all the pictures I took are way too big to upload to Blogger. If anyone knows how I can shrink the picture file so they'll upload, I'm all ears.
While I'm awaiting your instruction, here's a little goodie (with my old camera).
A couple of months ago while in Salt Lake City I found this vintage, audio/visual cart on Craigslist. I thought I might make a great little nightstand for my boys room.

Kara Paslay Design.
Kara made it to the final round of Design Star last year. She and her husband's ultimate dream would be to have their own design show. They would call it, "Til Design Do Us Part©" and travel around in an old AIR STREAM that they fixed up making people's design dreams come true.
I don't think there isn't anything they can't do. Check out this menu of services: Window displays, retail spaces, curb appeal consults, furniture design and home design, just to name a few (see here). If you need some help with your home you must contact them. Prepare to be inspired!

To paint or not to paint...
As you may know, this bathroom is getting a facelift.
Problem is this cherry cabinet. It's just getting in the way of a cohesive look.
I would LOVE to paint the cabinet a black lacquer just like these bookcase and shelves featured on Little Green Notebook today.
So here's the problem. We paid a pretty penny to upgrade these cabinets when we bought the home 2 years ago. I never really liked them to begin with but the alternative option choices were...let's just say...unacceptable.
Would painting this cabinet be good or bad for resale? (No, we don't have plans to move).
To paint or not to paint...that is the question.
Input please.
