Royal hats.

I was mildly interested in the Royal wedding today. I did, however, find myself highly tuned in to the all the hat fashions. This is a trend that needs to come to fruition in the states. Check it:

Yes, please.

I'm composing this post at 8:00 Thursday evening...
No, I still haven't gotten dressed for the day,
No, I still haven't brushed my teeth for the day,
Yes, I'm deliriously tired from feeding baby at all hours of the night (not complaining),
and yes, I used the 10 minutes of free time I've had today to look at other people's blogs.

Sorry to repost something you may have already seen in blog-land but this kitchen has taken ahold of me. The skylight, the mirrors, the chandy, I want it all in my next home.

Found it via Gorgeous Shiny Things.

Freeze time.

Beautiful boy...don't grow up, don't grow up, don't grow up!

Postpartum.

It seems logical to assume the last month of pregnancy is so uncomfortable so women will agree to almost anything just to get the baby out. Almost anything being delivery without pain medication, water retention, engorged milk jugs, and everything north and south of the border terribly swollen.

And I'd do it all again for this guy.

I'm totally and completely smitten with him.

10 days early.

Monday (4/18/11) at 12:30pm my 3 year old were all smiles while we rode our bikes home from the park. 6 hours later I delivered a healthy, beautiful baby boy...9 pounds, 10 ounces...without an epidural, not by choice...baby just came too fast.

I'm proud to say I delivered naturally but I am also slightly traumatized by the event. With my last two labors I had an epidural and was cracking witty labor room jokes between pushes. Natural child birth, on the other hand, is a bit like the Exorcist. NO FOOLIN' AROUND!

Welcome to the world Bodie Sailor!

You will find me sitting on a donut shaped cushion for the next week or so.

Shameful.

Oh Craigslist, you naughty temptor.

I'm doing a very good job at convincing myself that I really do need all 6 of these.

Yes, the color and material are all wrong.

But the shape and nailhead detailing are so unique.

I'm already planning out my new dining area which is still just a dream.

I'm calling it the law of attraction.

Wrong?

What is the max you pay for 6 of these babies?

I found these vases at HomeGoods the other day. They have a real Jonathan Adler-esque feel but for a fraction of the price.

Another reason I adore HomeGoods.

(Lamp also from HomeGoods).

"Wash Your Hands"

Ever since I debuted this "Wash Your Hands" sign I made for my guest bathroom I've received several requests for a copy.
Were you one of those who requested and I ignored you?
Here's the deal... I don't have a lot of time to plunk around and figure out a fancy computer editing software so I made it using Microsoft Word, a photo copied chandelier picture, scissors, and a copy machine. Really.
And you wonder how I even run a blog.
Sorry to all those ignored email requests...I just had nothing to send you except my scraps of cut up paper.

Emily was one of those disappointed requests so she took the bull by the horns and made one herself. She was even so kind as to share it! Kudos, Emily!

DIY Dreaming...

Thursday mornings means my favorite estate salers post pics of their upcoming Saturday sales. In fact, The Girls Estate Sales have become so big here in Tucson they recently opened up their own store. For me, I go in to dream land and fantasize about all the fun DIY projects I'd do with other people's junk. (Did that sound a bit creepy to you too?)

With a move on the horizon it's torture to even look knowing I need to be de-junking, not collecting. Oh well, I can't help myself.

Here are some of the fun things I'm spying...

New upholstery and maybe even paint the wood (or not) and this would be a gorgeous settee.

I spy some gorgeous, gold, bamboo nesting tables to the left of this sofa.

THAT MIRROR! Enough said.

I'll take those milk glass pieces hiding amongst the kitchen ware.

Blogland is buzzing with those beautiful wood secretaries. A hit of paint would do the trick.

I'm loving those three bamboo nesting tables. I'm really tempted to go pick them up and hide them in my garage. The Mr. wouldn't notice would he?

I WANT THESE MATCHING BEDS! They would be perfect with a coat of bright yellow or muted blue for my boys room. Check this out... (found on Walls Blog).

Bland dresser now. Give it a sand, some primer and paint...voila!

More milk glass treasures.

That cain chair with orange cushion is screamin for some TLC!

Perks.

In this last month of pregnancy I've taken up complaining as my newest hobby. Add moving in the mix and well...it's a plain ole' party around here.

Michelle Rasmussen of Wondertime Photography, grabbed her camera and snapped this photo the other day when I stopped in to say, "hello". In light of being terribly uncomfortable, I will admit there are beautiful perks of pregnancy...

Thick hair.

Long, strong nails.

Valumptuous, botox-like lips.

Eating without guilt.

Glowing, pimple-free skin.

Yes, I complain...but I also have a lot to be grateful for.

Thank you Michelle. I will miss you dearly.
