For Sale.

Hubby received a job transfer to SLC, UT.

That means this baby is for sale!
And due to the caca market you can pick up our lovely house for a steal.

*Disclaimer*
(I had nothing to do with candlestick line-up down the center of the table...just sayin').

Pretty please!

I don't ask for much.

But, my ribs feel like they're about the crack from all the kickin' going on inside.

Just one day in that pool side cabana would suffice.

Or lounging in that lovely room ordering room service.

Just one day's vacation at the Santa Monica Viceroy would do me good. Too much to ask?

Project closet.

This weekend my bedroom looked like this.

Everything out of the closet and piled before us.
Funny thing is, most of this stuff I tell myself I'll wear or use "someday".
"Someday" is taking a long time to get here.
Time to purge!

2 years ago a handyman came and revamped our entire closet for around $150.00! The only catch is that we had to paint everything ourselves. SOLD!

My only question is why we waited so long to paint?

No, this is not the "after" but my next closet is gonna look like this!
Clean, simple, and all clutter behind doors.

Courtyard before and after.

We have this small little courtyard in the front of our house.
It's always just been filled with rocks.
In three years the only thing we've ever done in there is pull the weeds.

Several months ago I brought home some pavers (from Lowe's) and surprised my husband with his new project.

Three months later and look what he did.
(Thank you, Love!)

Last fall I picked up these planters, chairs and pillows at Target for 75% off when they were closing out the summer seasonal items.

I did however, pay full price for this cutie.

An umbrella, some lemonade and big cushy ottoman for my swollen feet would make this little space perfect.

Cue Spring!

Reader Project.

After seeing my last post where I posed the question if bunk beds could be stylish, Jennifer sent me photos of her own bunk bed makeover.

Here's her daughter's existing bunk beds before...

AFTER.

What a transformation!
In her own words, here is a description of how she accomplished the look,

"I attached it to the ceiling by first making a large frame from 1x4's the size of the bedskirt. Then I made a similar frame out of 1x2's that was 1/2" smaller all around and then mounted it to the 1x4 frame. This created an inner rectangle slightly recessed and to that I attached my curtain panels with flat head thumb tacks (This way they can be removed if they need to be cleaned.) The bed skirt was stapled on top of the whole frame and was mounted into the ceiling using 8 toggle bolts."

I love when creative people transform the "Ehhh" in to "Wow"!
Thanks for sharing, Jen!

Can bunk beds be stylish?

I'm working on a new project where the client is considering a bunk bed.
(Insert me wincing).
So I wondered, can bunk beds be stylish?

(Domino by way of Little Green Notebook).

Well, well, well...not so bad after all.
This one just might fit the bill. Love that it can do double duty as a bed or a sofa.
I'll take one in red please. Found it here.
(Hey Jake, I even discovered they even sell Bunkie Boards [here]).

A Fine Line Giveaway.

This weekend I played the "pregnancy card" went shopping. I picked up these urns at A Fine Line Stationery and Gifts in Tucson. My outdoor spaces are in dire need of sprucing up and these will be perfect for what I'm envisioning.

For over a year now I've had the pleasure of working with Jeanne from A Fine Line and her blog. Not only does she have an eye for great design but she has a love for beautiful stationery. She also carries some of the most unique items and gifts I've ever come across.

Walking in to her boutique is pure eye candy. Here are a few of my favorite items that have been through her store.

One of the the items I've had my eye on is this glass jar. It has a rustic, ornate lid top and the glass is super thick and heavy. Perfect in the kitchen as a candy or utensil jar. It would also be great in the bathroom to hold toiletries. Valued at $50.00, Jeanne will be giving it away to one lucky person.

To be eligible for the giveaway:

1. Go visit her blog here.
2. Leave a comment on this blog post.
3. For extra entries, Tweet, Facebook or blog about this giveaway.

Giveaway will close Tuesday, March 15th at midnight. Winner will be chosen via Random.com.

Enameled Numbers.

I'm a sucker for vintage hardware
(and lamps, and pillows, and, well, furniture, and...).

I've always loved enameled numbers too.

(Ebay).

(Etsy).

I found these enameled numbers on Etsy a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the gal I bought them from closed her shop down.

Using some wire I decided to embellish my baskets with them.

They are my hiding place for little boys toys.

15 minutes and a bit of threading resulted in...
