Giveaway & New Sponsor Lemon Drop Dreams!

Three Men and a Lady would like to welcome our newest sponsor Colleen, owner of Lemon Drop Dreams!

This creative mom makes the cutest handmade, custom burp clothes. Just the item gals "Ooooo and Aaaaw" over at baby showers. Colleen shares my love of fabrics and, as you can see, she has quite the eye for picking the most lovely prints. As a mom of four she got her start when she couldn't find anything with a cute and sophisticated touch so she made her own. Her burp clothes are in high demand as the lovliest accessory to be wearing on your shoulder. They make the perfect gift!

Want one of your own? Visit Lemon Drop Dreams HERE. Then leave a comment on this blog letting us know which is your favorite along with your email address. (No anonymous or international entries...sorry). Winner will be selected by Random.org on Friday, June 4th at midnight. Good luck!

Freebies!

My state print of Arizona arrived from Jenna of QA Design that I won in the giveaway featured on 6th Street Design School! To be honest when I opened it up I thought it was so lovely but I didn't have a clue where to put it. Then I realized I had a bunch of frames ready to go to Goodwill that someone left at my swap party that went unclaimed. Coat of white gloss spray and my two freebies are now one. So thanks QA Design, thanks 6th St. Design School and thanks to whoever left the frames at the party!

Don't forget to visit Jenna at QA Design.

Slight wind from the south...
TODAY was the perfect day to launch rockets.

Weeks of building, painting and assembling would finally prove to be a success or failure.

The Mighty Queeze-Bee ready.

Detenator ready.

T-minus 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

A single streak in the sky = 30 seconds of pure excitement!

Successful landing.
Rocket recovery team springs in to action.

Shopping Salt Lake Style.

Hi Peeps!
I'm headed to Salt Lake City, UT and can't miss an opportunity to hit some great shopping while I'm there. Does anyone know of any great antique stores or thrift stores in SLC or Provo?

Hall of frames.

Old frames are one of favorite finds!

Mirrors too!

I decided to go for a white on white color scheme for a much neglected hall.

But then my 5 year old asked me why everything was empty.
"That's the point," I told him.
"But why?" was his reply.

So we put our heads together and decided his school artwork was just the solution to turn my Chic, Minimalistic idea in to Modern, Family Practicalism.

5/23/10, 6:17pm

For the past 5 days my 5 year old has said, "Look at this!"
I turn to a wide open mouth, tongue pushing a loose tooth 90 degrees perpendicular.
Tonight that all changed.
He pulled his first tooth out (actually he twisted it out).
T.M.I?

The very next second his white tooth was somewhere on Grandma's white tile floor.
While crawling around we did find $0.27, a Shrek toy and a little tiny tooth 15 minutes later.

Show me da money!

Three Men and a Lady would like to welcome our newest sponsor Sai's Gifts...who is also my lovely mom! I hadn't realized how BIG giving lei's at graduation has become. I knew it was big in Hawaii but the tradition of giving "Aloha" has spread to the mainland as well.

At my husband's graduation she gave him two money lei's, each lei had $100.00 in dollar bills! He could hardly get to the car without swarms of people asking him where he got his lei's from. After that day my mom had orders to make lei's from strangers!

To order your money lei go to Sai's etsy store here. They made great gifts for graduation, birthdays, anniversarys or any special occasion and the best part is the money can be used for spending!

New additions.

Last Saturday I visited an estate sale in hopes to snag a new patio chair I saw online. Apparently, die hard estate salers line up at 4:45am (doors open at 7am), I arrived at 6:30am.
Whatever.

I did happen to score this lovely little cup.

As well as this vintage phone.
Paid a total of $10.00!

I grew up with this brass lamp in our home. For Christmas my mom suprised me with them (it actually has a twin!). I finally got around to spraying them white...not so sure how mom felt about that. Then I found a pair of these shades at Goodwill for $1.99 each!

Swap party.

Last Thursday I hosted a swap party.
The premise is you bring 3 items in good condition and get to leave with 3 different items.
Check out some of the loot...

Someone brought this George Forman Grill, never been used, NIB!

We all fought for this sit and ride CAT truck.

I seriously wanted those shoes but they went home with someone else.

If more than one person wanted the same item they put their ticket in a bowl and one name was drawn. If your name didn't get drawn you had the opportunity to put your ticket on a different item.
At the end of the evening I didn't get the gray vase that would have been perfect for my entryway (Celeste, you're on my hit list) but I did score some blue faux gator flip flops, a black leather hand bag and a wrap around skirt.

Uyutnaya Kvartira Magazine Feature

I was flattered to see that I was featured in Uyutnaya Kvartira, June issue...I think?

Uyutnaya Kvartira is Ukranian decor and design magazine...I think?

They did a very lovely feature on me and my DIY projects...I think?

To be honest, I have no idea what was said, my Ukranian is a bit rusty.

Any translators out there?

Thanks Elena for the Ukranian decor shout out!
