This last Saturday I got ambitious and pulled out my sewing machine from off the top shelf.
My goal was to try and hide this eye sore with a little fabric.

After threading my needle for the eleventh time I looked up to this...my littlest guy sound asleep. I guess General Conference and the hum of a sewing machine will send little ones right to la-la land.

Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you-- things have been quite hectic over here.
As for blog sprucing-- I have a friend who kind of spelled it out step by step for me and it worked. I tried for ages to get it right and she knew just what to do. You can find her link here:

Lovely! I did that to a bookshelf of mine recently, and talk about a cheap and easy upgrade. I'm trying to convince my husband to let me paint the inside of another bookshelf, but he insists I finish off the other million projects I have going on. Boo.
